Soak Like a Local: Fuxing Park Open-Air Foot Pool
For an authentic slice of Beitou’s daily life, look no further than the open-air foot soaking pool nestled inside Fuxing Park. Covered by a charming wooden pavilion, this communal spot exuded a nostalgic, Japanese-style resort atmosphere.
What makes this free attraction truly exceptional is its water source: the rare “Green Sulfur Spring” originating from Thermal Valley. Rich in the mineral radium, this highly acidic spring is a geological wonder found only here in Beitou and in Tamagawa, Japan. The pools are kept at a deeply relaxing 40°C to 43°C, perfect for melting away travel fatigue and soothing tired feet after a long day of walking. The surrounding park also features a modern forest-themed playground with climbing nets, making it a wonderful stop for families.
Getting There: A quick 3 to 5-minute walk from our resort. (Head toward MRT Xinbeitou Station, cross the street, and walk straight along Zhonghe Street into Fuxing Park).
Highlights: Experiencing a world-rare green sulfur spring for free, mingling with friendly local residents, and utilizing the family-friendly park facilities.
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 – 18:00 (Runs on hourly sessions with short cleaning breaks in between; closed on Mondays. Free admission).
