A World-Class Oasis of Books: Beitou Public Library

Step out of our resort, and you’ll find a stunning, treehouse-like wooden structure nestled within Beitou Park. This is the internationally acclaimed Beitou Library—Taiwan’s very first certified “Green Building” library, which was named one of the “25 Most Beautiful Public Libraries in the World” by Flavorwire.

Designed to live in perfect harmony with nature, the building incorporates solar panels and rainwater recycling systems, while massive floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interior with natural sunlight and views of the surrounding forest. Visitors are welcome to pick up a book and step onto the outdoor wooden balconies to read alongside singing birds and the soothing sound of the nearby creek. It’s an architectural wonder and a peaceful sanctuary you shouldn’t miss.

Getting There: A mere 2 to 3-minute walk from our resort. (Located directly inside Beitou Park right across from our entrance).

Highlights: Photographing one of the world’s most beautiful eco-friendly libraries, enjoying the outdoor balcony reading areas, and experiencing sustainable architecture.

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 08:30 – 21:00 / Sunday and Monday, 09:00 – 17:00 (Closed on the first Thursday of every month for maintenance).
